FAQs
Got questions? We’ve got answers
Do I need an appointment?
Yes, we recommend booking an appointment so your pet gets the time and attention they deserve. Appointments also help us keep wait times down and make sure a vet is ready to see you when you arrive. If your pet needs urgent care, please call us as soon as possible and we will do our best to fit you in.
Do you offer payment plans?
We do not offer in-house payment plans or clinic accounts, and payment is required at the time of your visit. That said, we do offer VetPay, which lets you spread the cost of treatment over time, subject to approval. We can also process eligible pet insurance claims through GapOnly, so you only pay the difference on the day.
Why does my pet need another appointment just to get a repeat prescription?
We understand this can feel frustrating, but it comes down to your pet's safety. We are legally required to examine your pet regularly before dispensing prescription medications. Conditions change, medications can need adjusting, and a check-up gives us the chance to make sure the current treatment is still the right one and that your pet is responding well.
When should I desex my pet?
For cats, most are desexed at around 4 to 5 months, ideally before their first heat cycle.
For dogs, timing depends on size and breed. Small to medium breeds are typically desexed around 5 to 6 months. For large and giant breeds, there may be benefits to waiting until closer to 12 to 18 months to allow for proper growth and joint development. The best approach is to discuss timing with your vet at your pet's next health check or vaccination visit, as every pet is a little different.
